Karachi (Syed Mohammad Askari):

The results of the NED University entrance test have exposed the poor performance of educational boards in interior Sindh. According to NED University Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Tufail, despite scoring over 70-80% marks in the intermediate first-year exams, the majority of students from interior Sindh failed to even pass the entrance test, let alone secure good marks. The best results in the entrance test came from the Aga Khan Educational Board, with a success rate of 84.71%. The Federal Board had a success rate of 73%, while the Karachi Board had 67.64%. However, the situation for the educational boards in interior Sindh was extremely poor. The success rate of students from the Larkana Board in the NED entrance test was just 21.08%, the Nawabshah Board had 26.60%, Mirpurkhas had 26.69%, Sukkur had 31.61%, and Hyderabad Board had 34.41%. Dr. Tufail told Jang that A-level students’ entrance test results were not included as their exams are still ongoing. After the exams, A-level students will take the entrance test. It is important to note that all educational boards in Sindh have been suffering from ad-hocism for many years. No board has permanent appointments for chairman, exam controller, secretary, or audit officers, except for the acting exam controller of the Hyderabad Board, who has been in the position for the past 12 years. Whenever attempts are made to remove him, he manages to get a stay order. The same situation applies to other positions as well. Most chairmen are working on a stay order, which has led to a continuous decline in the performance of these boards. Now, let’s compare the 2024 results of the Karachi Board and Larkana Board for various subjects to see how many students passed in each. Larkana Board Results Computer Science: 74.81% Pre-Medical: 76.71% Pre-Engineering: 76.3% Commerce: 82% Humanities: 80% Karachi Board Results Computer Science: 35.51% Pre-Medical: 35% Pre-Engineering: 28.53% Private Commerce: 29.67% Private Humanities: 24.33% Even the students who passed in the Karachi Board were awarded very low marks, with most students receiving B or C grades. In contrast, the educational boards in interior Sindh generously awarded marks, with most students receiving A or A-1 grades. The A and A-1 grade students from interior Sindh failed even to pass the NED entrance test. On the other hand, students from Karachi who scored B and C grades passed the NED entrance test with good marks. As everyone knows, the rigging that took place in the 2024 MDCAT exam in Sindh was incredibly brutal and unprecedented. Now, reports suggest that students from interior Sindh who were fraudulently awarded A-1 grades will have fake Karachi domiciles created for them, enabling them to gain admission to Karachi’s engineering and medical universities.

The Mohajirs not only have no hope of living a dignified life but now even the path to dying with respect is being denied.
